In the last two years my family has experienced some rough patches, but hope never left. It was a whisper at times, but it was always there.
Sometimes life's challenges let you know you need to change direction. Sometimes life's challenges force you to slow down and reflect. We did both.
My son and I are just back from a trip of a lifetime. We flew 5000 miles to see a K-Pop band in London's Hyde Park. Through patience and persistence we made it to 5 rows back from the T (out of 67k people). The concert pic was taken with my phone with no zoom!
We had dinner at Sky Garden and the food and view was divine. We visited Kew Gardens, and Aire. London did not disappoint.
For me, what was really amazing was taking the time to experience this with my son. He is off to University this fall despite so many challenges, and I am both excited and anxious about becoming an empty-nester.
My last day in London was spent having coffee with a colleague in Kensington Gardens. It was picture perfect. Thank you Jacqueline for making the trip down to London!
I am so proud of the life I've built for me and my son and I am so excited to see where he goes from here. I am also looking forward to more opportunities to visit colleagues around the world.
